There will be a Ramadan Preparation get together, tonight (9:00pm – 11:00pm) at Masjid-E-Mohammadi.

Following is the Agenda.

1)  Jaman Serving Committee under M. Abbas Bhai Ghodra wala will prepare Mawaid area and assign khidmaat to his team members.

2)  Kitchen Khidmaat Committee under Huzefa Bhai Nulwala will prepare kitchen area and assign duties to his team members.

3)  Iftaar khidmaat Committee under M. Qusai Bhai Kalolwala will work with Toloba ul Kulliyaat for Iftaar setup and assigned duties to his team members.

Any one wish to volunteer for any of these three khidmaats, is requested to volunteer tonight and help these committees with their setups and get signed up for Ramadan Khidmaat.

On last Saturday July 27th, a gathering of mumineen got sharaf of listening to Aqa Maula (TUS)’s bayan mubarak.  This bayan was from two trade expos that took place in Mumbai (2007) and Dubai (2008).  These two bayans, in connection with other recent bayans is a wake up call for mumineen to start focusing on starting their own businesses.

In the bayan, Aqa Maula emphasized the following

· Mumin should feel proud of being a business owner: A mumin should be business minded and not service minded (he / she should think like a business person). Maula underlined the importance of being a business owner by saying, a mumin business owner has more sharaf and izzat than a mumin doing a job for other people.  Maula said that regardless of how good / well paying a job is, it is still a job and you are still someone’s employee – nokar (from bayan in London).  Aqa Maula cited examples of Imam and Daai(s) who were great traders and spent their riches for Dawat’s khidmat.  Aqa Maula also prayed for mumineen attendees that they become king of traders.

· Business is Jihad: Aqa Maula stressed that a Mumin should take Business as Jihad and the mumin who has courage will profit.  At the same time, Aqa Maula also asked mumineen to be completely happy and satisfied with whatever they have and do shukr.

· I am your business insurance: Maula ensured mumineen that Daais Dua is mumin’s business capital and their business insurance.  Maula clearly said that mumin should not worry about success because he takes guarantee for them.  Aqa Maula said that a business insurance indemnifies a person after a loss has occured, but if a person has Maula’s dua he will never even have a loss that needs to be indemnified.

· I am your business capital: Maula underscored the fact that a mumin does not have to worry about not having enough capital to start a new business.  Aqa Maula said that, “My dua is a mumin’s capital.”  Maula said that if you have nothing, then start your business with just a needle and thread (and of course Maula’s dua which is his / her capital).

In light of the above bayan, the Houston Jamaat has formed a professional committee to guide mumineen into new businesses.  The proposed committee “Burhani Business Counseling Center – Houston Chapter (BBCCH)” under the auspices of Janab Aamil Saheb will arrange monthly business forums to educate / encourage mumineen who are committed to start a new business or are already in business and want to expand it to new levels.  Membership details for BBCCH will shortly be provided in a follow up email.

The 3rd meeting for SEZENA, Shabab Ediz Zahabi Entrepreneurs of North America was held on May 28th. Many members attended. Some brought new freinds to incourgae joining. Shababul Eidz Zahabi has announced the formation of this entrepreneurs organization to offer a networking learning forum for mumineen that are interested in going into business, improving their current business, upliftment of mumineen to be successful in business, business networking, and more.
